The Central Texas Farmers Co-op is a farmer-owned and operated co-op providing you with the highest quality local food through our “Community Supported Agriculture” (or CSA) program.
Our fundamental philosophy is that we’re stronger together! Through aggregating our products, we provide you excellent selection, and convenient access to fresh, locally grown meat and vegetables. In turn, your subscription to the CSA provides us, as small and beginning farmers, the stability to continue to grow our farms.

Our Co-op was founded in 2016 when a group of young farmers and farming advocates began to meet on a monthly basis to discuss the opportunities and benefits that might be created through working together, rather than in competition. From those meetings emerged a plan that was meant to be mutually beneficial to you, our customers, as well as us small and beginning farmers. Through multi-farm sourcing, we offer you a better variety of produce and meat throughout the season. In turn, your patronage of our co-op gives us the security to continue growing our farm businesses. We are jointly owned and democratically controlled by small and beginning farmers in Hays, Caldwell, Blanco, Bastrop, and Travis counties. We are not a wholesaler making money at the expense of farmers – The Central Texas Farmers Co-op is your local farmers! For more information about our farmer members (and CSA producers), click HERE.

Your patronage of our co-op really does make a difference for so many of our small farmers.
The co-op was pivotal in helping me start the farm. Getting good prices and knowing I had an outlet for my crops was a huge factor in making me feel comfortable scaling up”
Becky Hume owner of VRDNT Farm
